Bio

Hi. My name is Alex and live and work in Boston. I had the impossible fortune of being born to phenomenal human beings who also happened to be American diplomats. As such I took my first steps on the green hills of Yaoundé in Cameroon and spent the rest of my youth abroad before moving to the U.S. at 18.

Growing up in West Africa, South Asia and the Middle East helped me to cultivate a deep interest and love of culture, community, and place—along with a pocketful of random knowledge like a sliced onion comes in handy when the tear gas breaks out in a riot.

I hold a BA in Anthropology from UC Berkeley, a Masters in Interactive Telecommunications from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts, and I am a fiend for musical theater. It’s a little out of control… they should have seat belts in the house for fans like me.

Today I use this backdrop to develop next generation digital products for the Humanities at a major educational publishing house. This website is a small glimpse into my work and play.
